Roberto Batoon
Ordained: 1973
Ordained in 1973, Batoon arrived in Hawai’i in 1997 as an extern priest from the Philippines. He served as pastor at several parishes on O’ahu and Moloka’i. In 2003, he was ordered home to the Diocese of Laoag near Manila after parishioners informed the Diocese of Honolulu about allegations that he had sexually abused minors in the Philippines. Batoon was voluntarily laicized in May 2003.
