Sexual Abuse Within the Catholic Church

A number of the attorneys featured on this website have a significant amount of experience helping people in other states who were abused by priests, clerics, employees, and volunteers of the Catholic Church and its associated organizations. As the Church in Hawaii undergoes more and more scrutiny for how it handled child abuse in its ranks, it is likely that more and more evidence will come to light showing that the Church failed to protect children from sexual predators in its ranks.

The Diocese of Honolulu

At least 25 priests, clerics, brothers, and others who served within the Diocese of Honolulu have been the subject of allegations of childhood sexual abuse, although many of the allegations were not investigated because of Hawaii’s outdated statute of limitations for abuse survivors.

The following list of priests who have faced abuse allegations was compiled from different sources, including news reports.  Please know some of the allegations are disputed by the individuals listed below.  Where possible we have provided a summary of the allegations and a list of the individual’s known assignments.
